Video Brief-

This video showcases our guest Alex Ortiz, co-founder of Edtech LLC,  who has been in the software industry for more than a decade, and shares his insights on how digital transformation has impacted the role of project managers. Alex talks about the most significant challenge in the project manager’s role: dealing with executives who want to see a linear progression of projects. According to him, some key practices to avoid scope creep are always to have plans in place and understand that some things are not going to work as planned, and we need to appreciate the software workflow too. Alex also talks about the approach he takes to manage stakeholder communication, which includes transparency in communication, discussing the problems with stakeholders, and leveraging confluence and Jira to a considerable extent.
